Seeking input from any Environmental Health Officers, students or Environmental Scientists.

Hello /r/Brisbane, I’ve recently finished a degree in Environmental Science from UQ and I am considering studying post-grad for an Environmental Health Officer course. If there are any Health Officers on reddit, I was wondering what the work life was like, and what qualifications were needed to get there. For environmental scientists, what would the best way to get into the envrio workforce be? I’m currently involved with a few conservation efforts to get experience but I’m uncertain as to what else to do. Thanks! submitted by /u/Brisboy [link] [comments]

Looking for a family lawyer that is going to fight for a fathers rights to see his kids

Throw away for obvious reasons… Hoping someone can help me (father) out with a recommendation for a kick ass solicitor who is going to fight to get me access to the kids. Not concerned about the cost, nothing is more important to me than seeing them more. Currently seen three different law firms who have proved to less than impressive other than taking my money. No dvo, abuse, just a pissed of soon to be ex who is stopping my lawyer by just saying “no”. submitted by /u/helpmefindalawyer [link] [comments]

Long Range Walking Track – D'Aguilar NP – part 2!

Following on from this thread a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/brisbane/comments/4sa27n/has_anyone_hiked_the_long_range_walking_track_in/ I went looking for the Mt Aurum mine upstream of Enoggera reservoir today (found it!) and had a look around for the Long Range Walking Track. It exists!! and is marked with red tape! Probably the easiest way to access it would be from the reservoir headwaters where the creek flows into the dam – the track is quite feint/narrow, but distinct and easily followed. I decided to try find its actual start… Not the distinct one mentioned above. Hoooooboy. It follows a very feint, very old track that is only very intermittently marked with old pink tape and very very occasional red tape. Bush bashing through scrub and lantana often. The entry from the reservoir track is extremely well hidden and scrubby – but has red tape! Track is easily lost in some parts due to brush turkeys raking

Looking for some help getting paid from a job trial I completed?

Hey everyone, I’m after a little advice about a paid trial I did in September that I haven’t been paid for. They sent me a payslip and have all my bank details correct but even though they keep saying they’ll pay me I haven’t received any money in my account. I’ve contacted them several times about it and I’ve also contacted fair work and they’ve given me some assistance. What I’m wondering is what my next step should be, ideally I’d like to send a letter of demand but I don’t think I can afford a lawyer to write one for me so if you lovely people have any suggestions that would be amazing! submitted by /u/La-la-lara [link] [comments]
