Would you put your home address on your dog's tags?

Inspired by finding Number 17’s dog roaming in front of Number 13, when I live at Number 12: Would you put your home address on your dog’s nametags? I had no idea 17 even had a dog, let alone this dog, and was about a minute away from calling council when I could have just as easily walked her 50 metres home. I’m sure there’s a bunch of privacy stuff I’m not considering, but even farting about with taking her to vet to check microchip/calling council about registration tag seems a lot harder as a finder than just taking them back home. I suppose it’s equally easy to have an additional tag with phone numbers (which I have already on my doggo) but…thoughts? submitted by /u/forshig [link] [comments]

NBN?

Ok so I feel a little retarded, I am usually pretty tech savvy but for the life of me can’t seem to get a straight answer on this. I have recently moved into a new rental and with that came moving my internet connection (ADSL). Anyway while discussing this with the consultant I get told that NBN is available at this new address and would I like to upgrade to this? Here is where the dilemma lies, for NBN, I was positive you needed to get a NBN box installed etc but I was lead to believe by the internet provider that they will sent me a NBN modem and I simply plug this into the pre existing phone line and it’s good to go. Now being a call center, English wasn’t this fellas first language so I am assuming something was lost in translation. Is this bullshit? Or could

Insurance Jobs – City

Good people of Reddit… A few weeks ago I spoke to some great people on here about potential contacts in the city for jobs. I’m now 4 weeks away from my move to Brisbane from the UK and I’d like to talk to as many people as possible about potential opportunities. I’ve got 7 years experience in the commercial insurance industry (property, retail, hotels etc) and of that 7, 3 as a Senior Underwriter for a reputable UK insurer. Ideally looking for an underwriting position again but happy to talk to people either way. If anyone knows someone or can help personally then I’d be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/capelaurence [link] [comments]

Looking for a housemate in Nundah

My current housemate is moving out at the end of September/start of October and I’m looking for someone to replace him in my townhouse in Nundah. It’s a two storey place and you will have the whole ground floor (apart from the garage which is used for storage/workout area/piano) to yourself. A good sized bedroom with built ins which opens out to your own courtyard with a small garden and also your own full size bathroom (bath/shower combo, toilet and basin with storage). The room is unfurnished so you will need your own bed etc, but the rest of the house is fully furnished. Rent is $205 per week (not including utilities) A little bit about me – I’m a 22 year old male graphic designer who works full time. I like to keep active but I also love a good curry (if you have recommendations let me know). I

Safe Night Precinct Query

Hey Brisbane. Unsure who to direct this question towards, but I thought I might start here. Last night I was refused entry to several bars in the city and Fortitude Valley after they had scanned my ID. I was told that I had a month long ban from CBD and Valley. Here is the twist. I’ve been overseas for the past three weeks, and haven’t been to the CBD or valley in at least six months. I went to the police beat in the Valley and they ran my ID and said they had nothing on me and they were “unsure, but that’s certainly unfortunate” My understanding is that the police issue the ban orders and that’s why you get flagged in the system. Can anyone shed some light on what is supposed to happen here as it was quite humiliating being told in front of my friends and a
