Construction question

Yesterday morning (Thursday) construction work began on the school tennis courts I live opposite at about 4:30 am. It woke me and half my family up, my dad went to ask why they’re starting so early and they just made jokes and said we better get used to it as its going to happen Friday, Monday and Tuesday too. After a lengthy call to the council, and then another lengthy call to the State Government we got nowhere. This morning they started hammering at 4 on the dot, wasn’t even light yet. I just don’t understand how this is legal so early? I’d love some advice of any sort about what to do, no one is being cooperative with us and this is ridiculous. submitted by /u/Troysen [link] [comments]

Professional photo shoot – non displayed prices

We recently received an $800 voucher for a photo studio (which will remain unnamed at this time). The photoshoot went great and we had to make an appointment to review / select photos. I asked if there was a price list to take whilst we think about it – I was told no and that it would be discussed at our appointment. When we sat down with the sales consultant to discuss our photos, they dropped the bombshell that our voucher only entitled us to a small frame and if we wanted high res electronic copies the minimum price was from $1,500 + for a minimum quantity. I was shocked at the prices and asked if we could take away a price list and think about it. The consultant was very pushy (and pretty rude), saying various packages were on offer (which I severely doubt) and there was no price
