I understand that the charity workers in the CBD are just doing their jobs but I feel totally harrassed having 20 strangers a day guilt trip me for my bank details like a gym membership. (Cash donations are cool though).

Tips for group interview for admin role with QLD government?
Hoping someone may have been through a group interview for a Queensland Government admin job and might be able to give some strategies for a friend. A previous group interview involved some pretty left of field questions (“apocalypse and you can’t save everyone – who do you save?” style) that they perhaps they didn’t nail. Are you best to try and ask plenty of questions, show your a leader, listen more than jump in? submitted by /u/alambi [link] [comments]
Nang crackers in Brisbane?
I’m looking to bake a cake over new years and I need my hands on some NO2 chargers, but delivering them online will take too long so I will need to go in-store. Does anyone in or around Brisbane know where I can find some? submitted by /u/zemmiph0bia [link] [comments]
Where is safe to live in Fortitude Valley?
Hi there. Been deciding between places in Fortitude Valley. I’ve heard so many stories regarding safety in the valley. I don’t have a car so I will walking a lot or using the bus. Should I live in the heart of chinatown or on the outskirts? I need a place close to Royal Brisbane hospital and my budget is up till $400. I’ve searched high and low and these are the best deals I can find that are clean and satisfy me. I want to live near restaurants otherwise I would’ve looked into Herston or Kelvin Grove. Just concerned about safety, any thoughts on these particular streets: Duncan and Water Street. I should add I go out sometimes at night and walk home late. Either from Royal Brisbane hospital or from dinner. So looking for a place that’s safe to walk to in general. I used to live in the
Do you have access to the Lowana res hall at Griffith Uni Mt. Gravatt campus and a decent camera? I'm looking for a cityscape photo.
Back in 2003 I studied at Griffith Uni for a semester. I used to study up on the roof of Lowana Hall since it was nice at night, and the view of Brisbane was amazing. I’d love a really nice photo of the city in the distance taken with a decent camera to serve as a wallpaper. If you have a good camera and can get access to the roof (preferably because you’re a student/staff/faculty/etc.) and can get a decent photo of the Brisbane skyline by night I’ll pay AU$30 for your time and trouble. I think I’ve tried asking once a year thus far, lol. I heard somewhere that there’s no more residence halls at Mt. Gravatt but I have no clue how true that is. Anyway, post or PM if you’re interested. submitted by /u/MohnJaddenPowers [link] [comments]

I’m actually interested in finding some really good Sourdough, but it’d be nice to know the best bakeries in general. submitted by /u/spuds_313 [link] [comments]

Eggnog
Every year since Coles and Woolies started selling cartons of eggnog it sells out before xmas. I’m speaking of course of the vanilla eggnog, not the chocolate eggnog that no-one wants. Be nice if they took the hint and stocked enough of it. Oh well, guess I’m making it from scratch. What’s your preference – rum, brandy or cognac? submitted by /u/QuantumG [link] [comments]
