Hang in there! This is the most stable I’ve felt in December since I was a child (I’m 31) and I still had a break down last night, its not easy. Some things you just can’t explain. If you’re spending xmas day alone, maybe organise something with fellow redditors in here. Or debunk why alot of us feel isolated and constantly under pressure to consume at this time of year. I spent xmas day last year in a mental health ward, this year I’m home. Love you Brisbane. Have a happy holiday everyone. submitted by /u/hotwatershanus [link] [comments]

Powerlifting shoes in Brisbane?
I’m trying to buy a pair of powerlifting shoes (preferably Adidas Powerlifts) but I can’t seem to find anywhere that has them in store? I ordered a pair online but was sent the wrong size. I’ve been looking at gumtree, ebay, fb marketplace, but it’d be great to try them on in person first to make sure I can get the size right. Cheers. submitted by /u/janeventure [link] [comments]

When did it become normal to charge for water in a rental?
We’re looking at renting townhouses in complexes Northside, and they’re all expecting us to pay for water. We’ve been renting in Australia for 4 years and this is the first we’ve heard of having to do this. The only place that has water included is far to the North near city limits. It seems like a money grab to me – none of these places seem like they have a lower rental cost to offset the extra bill we have to pay (and the money the landlord saves). But I know I’m naturally sceptical having come from a much more renter-friendly market. So, is this a recent phenomena, a result in the location/type of properties we’re looking at, or have we just been extraordinarily lucky in the past? Pardon the clickbait title. submitted by /u/oscars_for_flubber2 [link] [comments]
