I have a bean bag full of beans that I want to get rid of. Also my wife has collected a couple of dozen Styrofoam near trays which were going to be used for kids craft activities, but that never eventuated. I rang the council for disposal options and they told me that any Styrofoam up to 5m3 will be accepted free for recycling at the transfer station. But when I got there the attendant told me that they cannot accept bean bag beans (wrapped up in a garbage bag), and the meat trays aren’t Styrofoam (really?). I’d have to dispose of them in the tip which would have cost me my last voucher or pay the minimum fee. I rang the council again and they told me to just put the whole lot in the general waste bin. This seems wrong to me. Surely beanbag beans will end up

Anyone recommend a good bond cleaner around Toowong?
Looking for a bond cleaner that’s not too cheap and nasty but also not going to cost heaps. Budget maybe $400-500 for a 3 bed place. Tried asking my landlord who he recommends but he hasn’t got any ideas. All the quotes I’m getting look about the same so no idea who’s any good. submitted by /u/smedwards [link] [comments]

Only happens to these type of shoes my running shoes never get this. http://imgur.com/99s6nbR Shoes that lasted 5 weeks (costed $50) submitted by /u/JSilver100 [link] [comments]
Can anyone recommend a good place in Brisbane to celebrate New Years? Honestly have no idea where to go.
Hey everyone! I know this question has probably already been asked. But I’m wondering if anyone has any good places to go in Brisbane that will be fun to spend New Years Eve at. I will be celebrating with my girlfriend and currently think I’m just going to have to walk around the West End and hope for the best. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much and happy new years! submitted by /u/wild-catz [link] [comments]

Hair Dye Salon/Hairdresser/idk | Need help finding a place
So yeah, pretty much exactly as the title says. Does anyone here know of any good places in Brisbane to get my hair dyed (a non-normal colour, if that helps narrow it down) that doesn’t cost me a piece of my soul and my first-born child? Edit: By “non-normal” I mean roughly 1/3ish staying as is (dark brown), and roughly 2/3ish pink lel submitted by /u/DamnedOnesMarch [link] [comments]

Possums in my roof
I need some advice. We’ve had a family of possums living in our roof for a while now, and we were cool with it when they just chilled out and never bothered anyone, but they’re getting pretty brave lately. We have an extension out the back of the house attached to the kitchen, and they climb down from the roof into this extension and go through the rubbish bin, flinging food scraps everywhere and just generally being a pain in the ass. Not to mention the fact that possums cruising around the kitchen probably isn’t super hygienic. They used to do it once in a blue moon and when we caught them they’d take off and we wouldn’t see them again for ages. They seem to have worked out we won’t hurt them now though, so they’ll still run away when we see them but they’ll come back in short
