Thank you Brisbane for the exchange semester of a lifetime. Best city ever.
A few days ago I left Brisbane after 7 months, and the only way I was able to do that without tears was not leaving the country just yet, and going from Melbourne to Adelaide to Uluru. Melbourne blows ass though, I froze my nuts off wearing 3 shirts and 2 pants sleeping on the floor one night. How do they get away with houses like that in the winter?! Don’t even care to know. Anyway, I just wanted to praise Brisbane. The endless sun, with or without the heat essentially cured my depression and really allowed me to experience a more laid-back way of life. Ignoring the fact that exchange students live in a bubble and you don’t really get the negatives, I had a kind of a hard time initially coming from Europe, because I felt like an idiot for the way I had been living my life.

Me: desperate with a house-worth of stuff to offload ASAP before uni starts. You: a student or currently underemployed person who can: *unbox multiple moving boxes to discover hidden treasures to sell. Put the worthless stuff to one side, sell the rest. Possibility of occasional spider. Anti-spider thongs, brooms, spray and tupperware containers provided and they’re not likely but a possibility. Not big ones from what I’ve seen in the storage area. Did anyone else see/ hear that large plane just now?
