Question for those that know plumbing?

Hey everyone, I have a leaky diverter switch between a shower and bath. It works fine when just the shower is on, but when the bath is on water comes out of both the shower and bath tap. So I got plumbing peeps to have a look and they said they need to replace a part. The part is some generic brand that they tried to order a few months ago and I just never heard back about it. We have sold the house so need to get it sorted before settlement for the new owners. They want to replace the whole diverter now which I am OK with if we’ve failed to get a part. However they are saying this is a full day job. Is it? Most internet tutorials I’ve looked at suggest it could be fitted within an hour but you can never really trust the internet.

Looking to change career into programming?

Company I work for is looking to hire a new (Full Time, 45hr week) junior programmer / support person. It doesn’t require you have a degree or formal training in programming/IT – if you can exhibit enough knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML in an interview you are going to be in with a good chance. We are generally looking for someone to come on board and help triage the helpdesk requests, data requests, bug reports as well as helping develop a lot of the bigger projects we have happening. We are having a hard time finding suitable applicants, either they are far too qualified or don’t have any interest in programming. If you understand some basic principles, have a genuine interest in web development and programming, everything else will be learnt on the job! PM me for the job ad link, or for any further questions let me know! submitted

Bricks to Give Away

I have about 100 spare bricks that came with my house. I’m only using a few of them, and the rest are a nice hiding spot for snakes so I want to get rid of them. Anyone who wants some free bricks, PM me. You’ll need to come pick them up with a trailer/ute. Located in the Tingalpa area. submitted by /u/Bhatzlehah [link] [comments]
