The obsession’s been driving me crazy for months, but I am looking to buy/take in any large, working CRT monitors within the Brisbane area. I’d also most prefer a model that uses an aperture grill screen. If there’s anybody out there that still has a good old, large CRT monitor that’s still functional and are willing to give it away/sell it, please let me know. submitted by /u/MisterMadness [link] [comments]

So I have to be at the airport at like 5:30 on Tuesday morning, I won't be sleeping so I have plenty of time, what's the cheapest way to get there?
Title pretty much says it all. I’ll be up all night because I don’t sleep til 3 or 4 on a good night, and I’m likely to slap somebody if I force myself to get up after an hours sleep. So what’s the cheapest way to get to the airport from Kelvin Grove, I don’t care how long it takes, as long as I get there before 5:30 submitted by /u/Inuit-Joe [link] [comments]
Good picnic spots in Great Brisbane area for a group of friends?
What are some good picnic spots within 1 hour drive of Brisbane CBD? Somewhere new. We’ve been to Wellington Point and Redcliffe. Was thinking Mt Glorious? This is for a small group of 5 or so. I’ve searched and it’s been a year since the closest answer was given. submitted by /u/brisdaz [link] [comments]
Nearly have enough hours for P's but still not driving good
I nearly have enough hours done for my P’s but I am still not driving good. I keep having a small amount of jolt when stopping the car, I keep braking too early and sometimes I will go too fast around a corner. Wtf is actually wrong with me? Do you think I should do more than the 100 hours? submitted by /u/Burning_flames1 [link] [comments]

Southbank or Kelvin Grove for student accommodation?
I’ll be attending QUT GP (first year) in the next few weeks and need to find accommodation asap. Student accom. in the city is too expensive. I’ve found an apartment in Kelvin Grove (right in QUT KG campus) and one in South Bank for the same price. I can take the shuttle free from KG apartment but I can also walk to QUT GP from SB apartment. They are both good options. Which is better in terms of social/uni life? Is there much students living in SB? Does all the events/parties happen in KG because there’s a campus there with tons of student accommodation? I just don’t want to be isolated/miss out if I live in SB. I want to meet a ton of other students and have fun. I know most uni students don’t have cars so would they even want to come and meet me in SB? submitted
Opinion poll: How long after your roommate gets their own place is your friendship normal again?
We’ve all had a roommate from time to time. I’ve been best friends with mine for as long as I can remember and we’ve been roomies (different rooms) for a couple of years. Now we haven’t had any huge fights or anything like that. The whole thing has been really civilised. But everyone has their annoying little quirks and things and it’s starting to get a bit much so we aren’t signing up for another lease together. As I said, there’s no major fight or anything but I can’t say I will be hanging out much for the first month or so. Just an opinion poll – if you’ve been in a similar situation, how long did it take before you felt like your friendship was normal like it was pre-roomies and not overexposed to their quirks / felt like hanging out regularly again? submitted by /u/Wilso90 [link] [comments]
