I admit off the bat that this sort of stuff confuses me. I did a bit of research when I moved out on my own and, as far as I know, most companies have similar rates and discounts. I’m currently with Origin, and my friend made a comment about them costing more than others so I figured I’d check, but all of these comparison sites are telling me to sign up and they’ll call me. So for your current usage, what sort of bills are you getting with your companies? My quarterly bills are usually $400-$500 range, but if I can find a better provider I’d love to. submitted by /u/pubesforhire [link] [comments]

Dafuq happened to the gas prices?
So it was on its high mark, around $1.35, then it dropped to $1.19 and lower very briefly. Now it’s shot up to $1.45 everywhere. I’m hoping I can hold out until it goes lower. Pretty annoying either way. submitted by /u/Miniappolis [link] [comments]
What does everyone think of the upcoming Wynnum Road makeovers?
The extra lane is the main thing I can’t understand, it just causes a bottle neck situation right? It seems like a lot of work for little reward. https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/traffic-transport/roads-infrastructure-bikeways/current-road-intersection-upgrades/wynnum-road-corridor-upgrade-stage-1-east-brisbane submitted by /u/gerrisdrinkwater [link] [comments]

Tired, exhausted and not eating properly after a traumatic 'holiday' break. Looking to have drinks and watch a movie at SouthBank tonight.
I’ve been in a shit headspace for about a month, if not longer. I got sick over Christmas which is normally a shit time of the year for me anyway and it continued to get worse towards New Years and following. Some bacterial or viral infection that’s likely been brought on by stress that the Doctors couldn’t diagnose. I hope I’m getting better but the feeling of lethargy, exhaustion and generally just being ruined is taking it’s toll. I haven’t started eating properly yet and it was nice when people noticed I’d lost weight but now, now it’s just a reminder that I’m not back to my normal self. I’m fortunate to have an exceptional support group who’ve provided a much needed place to vent, get support and try and collect my thoughts, but there’s something about meeting new people that gives me energy where I can escape out of
What's up with the smear campaign from council on the state gov
So many buses and signs show negative stats against the state government lately. Looks like the beginning of campaign against labor government from our liberal council. submitted by /u/zynasis [link] [comments]

People stop driving your precious darlings to school, they can handle the mean 'ol bus!
I know I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but seriously! Traffic into the CBD is generally pretty ok, that was until Monday and then the HORROR today. It is all because school started again. I admit fully that this issue is small for me as I ride a motorbike, but from Hale St to to BGS was a car park, I and a scooter were the only ones going through the green lights. Anyway this is more for the people who are held up for using buses that also can’t move and those who need to be in traffic, I’m sure some parents will down vote me and claim I don’t understand. However from a very selfish point of view, traffic has being fantastic without school traffic, as it is every damned school holiday. submitted by /u/28inch_not_monitor [link] [comments]
