Hey fellow yanks – I know we had a bit of a chat before the holidays about having a meetup for all of us Americans here in the wonderful city of Brisbane and was wondering if anyone still wanted to get together? I figured since it’s after the holidays (and after Australia Day), we need another ‘national’ day to get together (‘yanks in brisvegas day’?), say howdy & y’all, lament the lack of good mexican food and texas bbq, drink expensive beer, eat snags, and discuss getting refugee visas to stay in this country….(just kidding about the last part though, I already have a visa) Would anyone be keen? Lego shop isn't worth a special trip.
Just a quick word for those planning to visit the Lego shop at Dreamworld. It’s nothing spectacular; majority of the sets there you can buy from any of the big name stores and at cheaper prices, the pick-a-brick wall only has bland generic bricks, build a minifig has about 5 different bodies, heads etc to choose from. Couple of the staff are smoking hot though, the customers not so much. If you have kids and like Lego visit by all means but I would do it secondary to another purpose to travel, it’s underwhelming as a special trip on its own.
