Hi r/brisbane! I’m brand new to the city, I don’t know anyone, and I was wondering if there’s any particularly social bars/pubs one can go to for a drink and potentially meet new people. For reference I’m a 27 year old female, reasonably close to central Brisbane. submitted by /u/SmudgeSmudgeSmudge [link] [comments]

D&D – new players
Hi! So my friends and are really would love to play D&D. None of us have any experience playing so was wondering if there are any groups or a DM who would be willing to show us how to play and lead us in an adventure? Thanks! 🙂 submitted by /u/missxmaddie [link] [comments]
Does anyone here use the public car park near Roma St Parklands?
I mean the one at the far end of the apartment buildings, with the path through to the park. I have a meeting with a client in the city tomorrow afternoon and wondered if anyone knows what the chances are of getting a space there for a couple of hours on a Friday arvo? It’s basically the closest place I can think of parking, near the city and where I won’t have to resort to soliciting my body in order to pay for a parking space. Not that I would receive much in the way of compensation, should I attempt that as a service. Well, not unless slightly unfit, extra large dwarves are your thing. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/jamesrlp83 [link] [comments]

Bloody shopping trolleys
Recently I moved to a new apartment in Buranda, just two blocks away from Centro shopping centre. Every other Wed/Thu (for obvious reasons) there are quite a few trolleys in the street. I usually log them with Trolley Tracker and they get picked up within 2-3 days. Target, however, are the worst. We have 4 of their plastic trolleys sitting on the sidewalk for about 10 days now. I called Target twice and they said they’ll get someone out – nothing. I logged with Coles website (they collect target ones) – nothing for a week now. I even called the City Council, all they could do is log it with Coles website, which they did. I’ve asked them (BCC) if they can send someone around Wed / Thu to catch a few pushers and issue them the fines, they were not very enthusiastic with that idea. What to do? I
