Southbank parkland hours

We went swimming early this morning for my sister’s birthday at streets beach at Southbank. Before we got in the water we had a look at all the signs and there was nothing that said anything about swimming being not ok after a certain time, just signs that said swimming with a lifeguard was advised. We were there for around half an hour before we were told to get out by security, because the parklands were closed. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Or does anyone know of a sign or rule listed on their website that early morning swimming isn’t allowed? We were all confused and disappointed because we tried to find out before we came if it was ok and nothing we found said it wasn’t. :/ submitted by /u/CrashedDummy [link] [comments]

How do I get into IT, seems to be a catch 22 each time.

Guys, I’m having a tough time finding ANY entry level role in IT. Most say go for the Help Desk roles, but even the level 1 roles say they want 3 years of experience and a PhD in Philosophy. I’ve applied for every trainee opportunity under the sun, but most say if you’ve completed a Cert III prior or higher, do not apply; I’m trade qualified (certIII) currently studying a degree in IT part time… I have Linkedin, Indeed, and Seek all set up to shoot me alerts. My resume and coverletters are on point. Where are the realistic job ads? Help Desk Roles want you to know how to crack the enigma code, name all 11 herbs and spices and enjoy being paid minimum wage; If I look at junior sysadmin roles, straight up they want you to have worked in Help Desk Support; I’m an electrician by trade

Bloody rats

Is anyone else having problems with rats? Like the butterflies and flies we seem to be having a rat plague, the bloody things are brazen as fuck, one ran through the house while we were watching TV. I’ve got traps down and baits but no luck so far. Any tips? War stories? I’m in the inner north. submitted by /u/daboblin [link] [comments]
