Tenancy laws?

Hey so I had planned to move in with a lady and dropped some of my stuff there (bad idea) nothing was signed and no bond paid. It has been there a week and a half and in that time my mum had fallen sick and asked me to live with her. I called the lady to let her know I can’t move in and she told me if I want my stuff I have to pay her 400. I’m happy to pay her off this money but need my belongings and she told me that I can’t collect anything until she has all the money. Does anybody here know my rights? Optus customer service

A branch came down on Optus lines so doing the right thing we tried to report it. Optus wouldn’t take out report as we aren’t an Optus customer. Good work Optus. Where can I find a cheap computer?

As I was a ward of the state and am now considered a young person leaving care, FACS has approved to finance a computer for my studies. The only problem is that the most funds they are allowed to give for Education is $500. I don’t want to get a laptop as they have a lifespan of 3-5 years. Job opportunities in Brisbane (or lack thereof)

Hey all, I’ve emigrated from the UK in July last year and I’ve been struggling to get work over here in Australia. In the UK I worked in environmental consulting specialising in GIS with data management and a bit of software development (although not enough experience for me to credibly apply for SD jobs here). Since arriving in Australia, as I expected, I found it tough to find work. I’m not whining about this, I came into it with my eyes wide open knowing it may take months to find a position. My concerns have been that I can’t get ANY job, anywhere and I’m not sure why. The advertisements come thick and fast but I never seem to get to interview. I’ve got a bachelors degree and three years of experience but I’m not even getting responses for entry level jobs in any industry. I’ve tried simplifying my CV
