UQ closed – All classes cancelled

From the Academic Registrar at UQ: Subject: Emergency Broadcast Dear Student As you are aware South East Queensland is now feeling the effects of ex-cyclone Debbie. Brisbane is expecting torrential rain, gale force winds and flash flooding. The Queensland Government has made an announcement this morning to close all schools. They have also recommended that businesses close by noon today as the weather intensifies this afternoon. The Vice-Chancellor has therefore decided to cancel classes and any other activities at all three campuses at St Lucia, Gatton and Herston and recommends all students remain at home today. The University will provide further instructions soon on rescheduling cancelled classes or other alternatives for the delivery of content. Please remain at home today, or return home if you have already made your way to any of the campuses for class. Please take care on the roads and follow the instructions of government and
