Internet disruptions in SW Brisbane. Anyone else experiencing problems?

I wanted to make a quick post on here regarding internet disruptions. Since the storms hit on Thursday we’ve had a really hard time loading web-pages, videos, Netflix wont even load a movie’s info, and all sorts of other latency issues. We’re with Telstra NBN in the Centenary suburbs area. I understand that a lot of people are probably having it a lot worse. Our place went under in 2011, so my heart goes out to them. I just wanted to know if other people in the SW Brisbane area are having similar problems. I'm in Perth ask me anything….

Observations so far: 1) The bus drivers already have the protective cage around them. No reason why our bus drivers can’t get them too 2) WA is heavily anti junk food. I passed a HJ/KFC and there was a big advert outside showing a diseased heart in reference to junk food being bad. There’s also a lot of WA gov ads on tv about junk food being shit. We need this in Brisbane too. 3) The river here looks strange because it’s this weird actual blue colour 4) I asked for XXXX here and I was greeted with a blank look 5) Now having been to all capital cities in Australia, our Central station really is shit. Ask me anything. I got upgraded to the executive lounge at the hotel so I’m currently on my fourth bundy and coke. You can take the Queenslander out of Queensland… submitted by /u/magpie1862
