Why did Amazons close down?

Was at DFO a week or so ago and remembered that was where the old Amazons waterpark was. I can’t really remember too much about it but I remember the toboggan ride as well as the monkey bars that went across one of the pool if I recall correct. But why did it close down? For a long time, I’d heard the rumour that a kid had drowned there and the government shut it down. Casino poker questions?

So I’ve been out of the poker scene for a while. Used to play a lot (free and cash tournaments/ring games) but never played in the casino. How does it work at treasury casino? I rock up cash in hand (I assume max buy-in is the done thing?) If there’s a spare seat at a table can you just sit down? Do you hand the money to the dealer or do you get chips beforehand? Can I ask for my money back if I lose it all? What’s the ettiquette regarding leaving the table? Could I hypothetically push all in on the first hand, double my stack and the leave? Restaurants, Bogans and complaints.

Hi team. I’ve been managing a pub-style bar and restaurant in Brisbane for the last few years and have noticed a curious thing. We pride ourselves on our service experience and the quality of food for low prices, so we rarely get any kind of formal complaint. I have noticed though, that whenever we do, it is a family of bogans from rural Ipswich or rural Toowoomba. I have no real idea why this is, but it strikes me as a bit fucking rich for us “latte sipping city dwellers” to have the reputation as being fussy, entitled and demanding when the opposite appears to be true. Don’t get me wrong, I love country folks. Nobody has a laugh better than my mates from Mackay and Mt Isa, and I know that there are certainly some entitled pricks that live in the city, but I’m wondering if anyone else has

Girls for Tuesday Indoor Netball at Albion!

Hi Brisbane peeps. My indoor Netball team is looking for a girl or two to join/fill in on occasion if you cant join full time for Tuesday nights. We play Mixed 2/3 and position is not an issue, we’re all flexible. Fees are a game fee split by however many players we get for each game.
