SE QLD Camping Options… seeking a unicorn, any campspot suggestions appreciated

Hi All, Seeings as the last recommendation thread went well – just wanted some insights on camping spots. I’ve booked a place inland of Gympie, but thinking being Easter it’ll be pretty crowded. I’m happy to drop this and go some where else, but need some asssistance in finding a place that meets criteria. Any suggestions for camp sites across the SE QLD region, up to Bundaberg etc for the Easter Weekend? Pre – reqs are: OK for kids OK for dogs Camp fire allowed (would be nice, not sure if this is still a thing) Close to beach nice, otherwise not a big deal Close to creek/river nice Secluded nice to have also Hikes, Scenic regions, small pokey ‘cute’ towns also good. Does a unicorn exist? Dogs cant go to National Parks but can go to State Parks. State parks have small occupancies and usually are booked up. Surely

Seriously considering moving to QLD from Adelaide any advice?

My wife and I have had a few rough years, we have dealt with some personal tragedies and as a result I have been in and out of work for past 3 years. I am now a stay at home dad and we both are looking at a change in location. We both love the Gold Coast and spend as much time as we can get up in your beautiful state, my wife works in car rentals and there are always opportunities for us to move up to QLD. We are thinking about semi rural communities (she has a horse and we want property suitable to keep him on it) close to Brisbane but we have never spent much time outside of Brissy and the Gold Coast (with day trips to Sunshine Coast as well), so we don’t know where to start.
