Haven’t had a dine in pizza experience since the Pizza Hut at Surfers closed. Browns Plains is still dine in, but is it any good? I’ve heard some horror stories about the customers but if the restaurant is clean and the pizza is nice, i’d be willing to compromise. submitted by /u/eternalmeme [link] [comments]

Group racing through mall
Groups of people wearing similar gear – backpacks and water racing through Queen St mall. Looks like a competitive scavenger hunt maybe. What’s the deal. submitted by /u/private_ryan0 [link] [comments]

No, really – how is Red Rooster still in business?
Last 10 times I’ve driven by my local RR around 6pm and there’s been no customers. They even have a delivery car drive around occasionally, where are they getting the money to stay in business? Do any of you still eat there? submitted by /u/The_Gymbuster [link] [comments]

What to do about neighbours who smoke?
Ok, I know this will probably be controversial but I’m at the end of my tether and I’d really appreciate the chance to hear from people who have had similar experiences. Partner and I have recently moved into an apartment in a small complex of 3 units. The landlord owns the whole building and our lease includes the following statement: Tenants and their guests must NOT smoke inside the property, on the balcony or in the courtyard area. So one of our neighbours smokes several times a day and seems to be home all the time. I largely work from home so I cop a lot of smoke. We don’t have aircon so summer was unbearable, closing windows was not an option. It seems like this person is actually smoking more than they did when we first moved in, and it’s driving me nuts. I also have asthma so sometimes
Jane's Walk in Brisbane
Has anyone done/lead a Jane’s Walk in Brisbane? It was a fairly big thing in the city I moved from (Winnipeg, MB, Canada) and always a lot of fun to learn about the communities at a leisurely pace. I looked at the past walks and it looks like there were 3 in 2014 and 2 in 2015, but none last year. Any have any information about this program? Or interested in a walk? Here is their about page: http://janeswalk.org/information/about/janes-walk/ submitted by /u/steveosnyder [link] [comments]
So many long weekends coming up. What's on / what's everyone planned?
14, 15, 16, 17, 25 April & 1 May are all public holidays. And for those taking the 24th off, that means many people* will have 3 long weekends (and 4 short work weeks!) in a row. Is there anything interesting happening over those weekends in/around Brisbane? So far (other than Easter and ANZAC Day events) I’ve found: Bluewater Festival / Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race Buddha Birth Day Festival What exciting things does everyone have planned? (*Yes, I know not everyone is lucky enough to have public holidays off.) submitted by /u/s13_eisbaer [link] [comments]
How much time should I allocate to visit MovieWorld?
My family is going to MovieWorld tomorrow, planning to get there right as the gates open, but I was wondering how much time it would take to see the park. My Mum wants to leave at 2, but I was unsure if that wouldn’t leave us enough time to see everything. Also, is there a fasttrack service offered? submitted by /u/jackoconway [link] [comments]
I've felt lately, this part of Brisbane is often overlooked and doesn't get the exposure it deserves.
