As Brisbane dwellers, what smartphone apps would you guys say make your week more convenient? Public transport, ordering takeaway, local events… whatever comes in handy. I’m new in town and am keen to become a Brisbanite(?) as soon as possible 😀 submitted by /u/Caesarr [link] [comments]

Does anybody want to be my tennis partner? (Corinda area)
Okay, so I haven’t played tennis since high school (a few years ago). I really want to get back into it! I don’t know anyone that’s into tennis, though. Please PM me if you’d be interested in playing at Corinda/Graceville/Tennyson. 🙂 submitted by /u/carnifax23 [link] [comments]
Where can I donate two couches that are not required when we move house. Or…does anyone want some free couches?

Best Aus Uni for Master of Teaching (Secondary)
I’m a current science student at ANU intending on doing my MTeach afterwards. I’ve narrowed my choices to 4 universities but need help and advise on picking the right one. I would prefer to stay in Canberra which leads me to either UC or ACU. UC (1.5 yrs): pros: I can potentially complete in 1.5 years. Will remain in Canberra. cons: pretty crappy uni (please correct me if I’m wrong) ACU (2 years): pros: I can complete with a grad cert in religious education – allowing me to teach RE in schools, and would probably make me more employable in catholic schools (which makes up ~20% of all Aus schools). Although I’m not religious, I’d have no problem teaching religion as per the curriculum. Also I’d be able to stay in Canberra. Apparently is well recognized for their teaching programs nationwide (can anyone confirm?) cons: ranked even worse than UC.

Is anyone an expert on/know an expert on Wiccan practices? Especially in Brisbane?
Hey friends, A year ago I posted about this little discovery in Wishart https://www.reddit.com/r/brisbane/comments/4ozzou/bulimba_creek_wishart_strange_lights_people/ We’ve decided to turn this (among other things) into a podcast about some of the weirder stories of Brisbane. I would love to have a quick chat to someone who knows there stuff about Witchcraft, Wicca… the Occult in general who could either confirm or deny that this could have been an occult practise! Any help would be amazing! submitted by /u/ScooterBris [link] [comments]
Itinerary for Sunday and Monday.
Hi guys, I’m going to be in your lovely city from tomorrow until Friday for work, with tomorrow and Monday obviously being holidays. Was looking to see the city and around a bit. I have a couple of questions. What’s the best way to move around in the city? Is the public transport good and reliable? How is the koala park? Was thinking to do that tomorrow. I’m going to do a day trip to Gold Coast on Monday. What’s the best way to go there? Anything that I can’t miss? What else would you recommend doing while in Brisbane? If anyone wants to meet up for a drink more than welcome. Thanks in advance guys. submitted by /u/knickl [link] [comments]
Relaxing place with not many people
I’m looking for a place that is relaxing and not many people go. A good view would be good but I only can walk or get public transport but I’d prefer to walk. I’m on the Northside submitted by /u/Shooting_Darts701 [link] [comments]
