West Mount Cotton Road is incredibly beautiful

I drove on West Mount Cotton Road for the first time today and can’t believe how beautiful it was. Does anyone know any other roads or areas that aren’t busy/well known places but have similar natural beauty? If you’ve never driven on it before I recommend going at sunset. It was so incredible if I wasn’t on my way to work I would have gotten out of my car and watched it. submitted by /u/GwenStacyGirl [link] [comments]

I'd love to hear your opinion about this cyclist?

So there was a group of us standing on the footpath this evening talking and this cyclist comes screaming up at speed and then starts ringing her bell telling us to move out of the way. She seriously needed to take a serious chill pill and so I told her to ride on the road if she’s in a hurry… then she wanted to argue back saying its too dangerous… blah…. blah blah. Now I completely understand where she’s coming from but I was under the impression that cyclists on footpaths had to give way to pedestrians but also I just find it unreasonable that she thinks the footpath is now a cycleway. I’d love to hear if something’s happened to you like this or if there is some law/rule against when/how cyclists can ride on the footpaths. submitted by /u/norfolkbur [link] [comments]

Nice places to go to for a long drive?

I have 5.5 month old twins who are often extremely reluctant to take an afternoon nap. I find driving them around to be the most effective way of getting them to have this nap. Can anyone suggest some nice places to “just take a drive to”? You know, the good old “afternoon drive in the country” kind of thing. I live in Birkdale and would be looking for a drive that is around 1-1.5 hours long with minimal traffic and as few stops as possible (red lights, stop signs etc.). Can anyone suggest any nice places to just drive to/around? submitted by /u/WickedSister [link] [comments]
