I’ve seen the QR security dog squads on patrol many times over my years of travelling public transport, but I’ve never seen them be deployed. I get that they’re mainly there as an intimidating presence, but I’m curious to know whether anyone has ever seen them used during a hostile situation, and if so, what happened?? submitted by /u/swagever [link] [comments]

Preparing for an interview w/ analytics test
Hi everyone, Posting here as I’m preparing for an interview that includes an analytics test as part of the recruitment process. It involves receiving a data set and using google sheets functions/pivot tables etc to be able to organise it quickly to provide answers to a set of questions. I work with google sheets everyday but my knowledge on function is limited. Similarly with pivot tables, I’ve worked with them but only on a basic level. I’ve been working through YouTube tutorials and the inbuilt Google Help, but was hoping there was a more thorough resource available that could help me prepare. Anyone here have any advice on sites/resources they’ve used etc to become more knowledgable on this? Appreciate all help and thanks in advance submitted by /u/soulsnoozer [link] [comments]

Seeking a friend in Albion/Windsor
I suffer from ptsd and other mental health problems stemming from traumatic experiences and lack of knowing how to deal with them. I’m unemployed and have not been doing a whole lot for atleast a few years now. This bums me out because it wasn’t so long ago I had a prosperous career, played in touring bands and was able to organise things. I’m an empath with hardly an ego. Recently my girlfriend got me a puppy which has helped. The last week I’ve really started to enjoy walking him to Windsor park taking off my shoes and walking with my pup on the nice grass down there watching the willy wag tails chase bugs around. I dont have a vehicle which makes getting around hard because of the anxiety. I love music (punk/hc/indie/oldies), gaming (xbox, my pc is dead), outdoors, fishing, AFL/sport, political/social affairs and have interest in medicinal
Ok, kinda odd request, but does anyone know of random little corner shops? Not like 7/11's, but the "owner lives out the back" kinda deal?
So I really like those random corner shop “milk bar” type places, I dunno, it just hits right in the nostalgia bone, and I like to drive around and find them and buy a drink or whatever in my spare time. If anyone knows of any and could give me the location that’d be awesome. I’m on the Northside but I’ll take all suggestions. I’m talking about the kind of place the “little boy waiting at the counter of the corner shop/he’s been waitin’ down there, waitin’ half the day..” or “do you want full cream, half cream, 2%, skim or extra dollop” references bring to mind, if you know what I’m talking about. Any small private theatres for hire?
So we’re talking about maybe having a cheesy movie night with the boys, once every couple of weeks. We could rotate houses, but of course one of our significant others is always going to be home, and some of us don’t have rockin’ home theatre systems (I do.) So I’m wondering if there is somewhere central that you could hire a room for 10-15 guys, allowed to BYO booze and food, with a big screen and kickass sound system that would be willing to just throw on a movie. Bonus points if such a place exists that would throw in some wait staff. Does Brisbane have such a thing? submitted by /u/DoctorDbx [link] [comments]
