Boat Trailer Woes

I am seriously considering buying a small trailer sailer to potter around Moreton Bay in. My problem is I own an ’07 Impreza which is rated to tow 500kg unbraked and 900kg braked (this is printed on the tow bar itself, but does appear to be also the limitation for the vehicle and not just the tow bar). Legally, any trailer which fully loaded is rated to more than 750kg must have a brake fitted to at least one axle. But, most of the boats I’ve looked at weigh less than that loaded on the trailer, around 650kg. So, I guess it looks like I’ll have to spend another $400-600 to have brakes fitted. Sigh. So r/brisbane, I turn to you. Has anyone any experience fitting a mechanical brake kit to a trailer? I’m up to attempting it, I can turn bolts, do oil and filter changes on the car

Anyone else's internet been patchy for the last week?

Hi Brisbaners, Just wondering if anyone else’s internet has been patchy since last week? We are with Dodo in Paddington and for the past 2 years we rarely had any drop outs. Since last week though, we have been getting drop outs every couple of hours. Our modem is relatively new (is 2 years new) so I don’t think it could be fault with the modem. To the Person asking if I'm ok – thank you!

It’s not very often that a car attempts to head south on Wellington Road, South Brisbane. :S I was on a scooter on my way to a Gumtree sale in newfarm, and I heard a car honking next to me. I looked over to my right, noticed this driver was looking directly ahead, so then I looked directly ahead and saw a random car in my lane doing about 40-50 towards me. I luckily had the time and reflexes to swerve out of the way of a clearly befuddled driver, and managed to get out of the way in time.
