Snake vs Possum (Warning: Semi-graphic scene of nature may upset some people)

I ride my bicycle from the city to my home in Ashgrove almost daily. Yesterday, as I made a left off Enoggera Road onto Ashgrove Avenue I heard a loud noise in the branches of a tree above my head. I looked up and saw what I thought was a branch crashing down in front of me. I swerved out of the way and once clear of what I thought was a branch, I looked back to see something else fall out of the tree and smack into the road next to the branch. I braked, turned around and rode back on the foot path to check what it was. Turned out it wasn’t a tree branch but a good sized snake! The brown object turned out to be a possum. Recommendations for south side Doc to cut out skin cancer?

My GP would like to cut out a possible skin cancer from the back of my hand. I really don’t trust him to do this job after seeing the butchery he did on a cancer on my wife’s back – hacked at it like a blind woodsman and left a pretty significant scar. I value my hands and although I don’t care about scarring, I am concerned about nerve/tendon damage etc. Can anyone recommend a good GP/Surgeon in the inner south I can go to instead? DOKHA NEEDED
