Hey guys just wondering what (if any) course of action I can take here. Twice now the garbage truck has managed to crush our bin on bin day. It looks as if the hydraulic clamp the truck uses clamped too hard and squashed the bin in the middle, hard enough to cause the plastic to snap and quite dramatically reduce the bins’ capacity (kind of looks like this. We’re renting so the body corporate handles ordering new bins, but the council still hasn’t picked up the old broken bin and now it’s happened again. Any advice? submitted by /u/FluffyPillowstone [link] [comments]

Job Opportunity
Hi guys, My boss is currently looking to add a full time painters assistant to our crew. Our ideal addition has experience in internal house painting with a brush and roller – you can work quickly and have no issues being on a ladder. You must have a drivers license as we are often all over Brisbane. We need someone who is motivated to work and will turn up on time and work hard. If you’re interested, please PM me. submitted by /u/puffandruffle [link] [comments]
Can anyone identify this plant that made my dog sick?
https://imgur.com/gallery/oLer2 My dog has eaten this plant twice and both times had a strange reaction from it (only obvious that it was this plant causing the reaction this time) I’m cutting it down and searching the backyard for any of the berries that may have dropped so he won’t be exposed to it again. I’m just wondering what it is because the vet is curious as well. Symptoms are gagging, coughing, slight trouble breathing, swollen eyes, lethargy and inability to open eyes. Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/AxellSwim [link] [comments]
Is this allowed? (shared house question)
So my partner and I just moved out about a month ago, first time for both of us. We are living in what was advertised as a student share house (a unit in a townhouse complex). It’s with a private leaser, not one of those companies like unilodge etc. There are 3 bedrooms; one occupied by us, one that has a couple and a single person in the other room. We are all students. Today, the couple have brought their young child over and now that child is living here… I’m just wondering is this even allowed. Is there some kind of limit on how many residents there can be in an apartment? On the contract, it says that the “number of persons allowed to reside at the premise” is 2, but obviously that is just for our room, and not the whole unit. The unit is already quite small
Concrete recycling?
Hey, I’ll be cutting up a large section of my driveway soon and have been told that there are some companies, in some parts of Australia that will pick up your concrete for free (to recycle and sell). Does anyone know of any businesses in Brisbane (north side preferable) that do this? My google-fu is weak and am unable to find anything. Thanks. submitted by /u/all_the_pineapple [link] [comments]

Strawberry sundaes
Hey guys, I’ve heard a rumour, for a few years now, that there’s a strawberry sundae stall on the perimeter of the Ekka. According to this rumour, you can buy a strawberry sundae without entering the Ekka. Does anyone know if this rumour is true? If so, where is this mythical stall? I’ve never been able to find it…. Thanks for any info! submitted by /u/showbagz [link] [comments]
