Should I buy one of these cars?

2004 Holden Barina XC Auto MY04.5 136,000km $3300 (the hatch doesn’t work) Or 2005 Hyundai Accent GL Auto MY04 125,000km $3500 I only have $4000, would you recommend these cars or a car that I should go for? It will be my first car and i plan on driving to work and maybe going for the occasional drive up a mountain. I prefer a car that won’t cost much to maintain but I understand I can’t have everything. Have you noticed park lights not turning on?

I’ve reported that the Lavarack Park lights are not turning on in the evening four times now. The BCC call and say they are looking into it. Tonight I went to another park in Camp Hill (behind The Blue Poppy) in the evening and the lights were not on. They seem to be solar powered. Really need to help my best mate but feel totally out of my depth

Hi all, as the title suggests I need a starting point. My best mate has gone down a dark path involving drugs; ice. He is (was) a functioning addict but has recently let his life fall apart. He has a wife and kids and is the sole income earner but is increasingly spending all the household money on drugs and other purchases such as camping gear, boys toys etc. I’m really worried about him and have spoken to him previously which he has somewhat heeded, only to go back a few weeks later. I get the feeling his wife is gonna take the kids and leave soon which would leave him almost friendless and down and out. His mental state could possibly lead down the path of suicide. How do sell the idea of professional help? It’s too deep for my amateur attempts at providing emotional support or advice. I
