Anyone free for a Friday Cardgame?

Out of towner with a messed up schedule has Friday free and is bored. Figured I’d try interacting with the locals so am issuing a general gaming challenge to any takers. I have with me the DC deck building game and my Nintendo switch and am accepting all challengers all day (except for a period around 2ish when I’ve gotten wind of a public Cards against humanity game) As a visitor I can’t really host that said Brisbane has plenty of public bench spaces around especially the various food court kind of areas. I’m staying in Fortitude Valley but intend to spend a good part of today wondering around the city. Either way will be limited to public transport reachable areas. Anyone had any good experiences with used car yards in Brisbane?

Hey all, My partner and I might be looking to buy a car together in the near future. I’m wanting to trade in my current car to go towards the new one, and as such I don’t really have the option of going through the rigmorale of first selling my car privately (which I know would yield a higher return) etc. The couple of times I have visited a used car yard in my life have been overall negative experiences, for exactly the reasons you can picture. Pushy, asshole salespeople. Bullshit 80’s sales tactics etc. A friend of mine recently had similar experiences when he was looking to buy a new car (complete with the “Well, my boss isn’t going to be happy about this…” line, with the boss then walking into the room right on queue and providing an Oscar-worthy performance about his level of unhappiness about the price

Someone lost their phone!

Walking to work this morning I picked up a phone on the ground. It had missed calls on it (owner or friends calling to try and see if anyone picked it up?). It had next to no charge and died not long after. Charged it when I got in but they’ve nuked the sim (which is sensible). Just wanted to see if by any slim chance the owner or friends of the owner check this reddit. Yes I’m aware there’s going to be some opportunists, so the phone network they were on is masked and they’re going to have to tell me the route they were on before they noticed it was gone. Scammer Warning!! – Back of Van Scammers in Bulimba/Balmoral Area

The old ‘we got 1 too many than we were supposed to have on the paperwork’ scam is going around in the Bulimba/Balmoral area, 2 guys in orange floro shirts driving a white van with no company logos (old Mitsubishi I think). Pasenger who spoke to me had a South African accent. If you don’t know the scam it’s were they say they have been given 1 too many of a brand new top of the range speaker/projector system from a pickup and they have to sell it before they take the van back, it’s basically junk/broken bullshit that they offer you for a low price but still in the $100’s. Almost got their license plate on my dashcam too.
