What's the go with QTAC offers?

Lodged a QTAC application towards the end of last year to get into UQ for a Bachelor of Arts course. I didn’t receive an offer in the March offer rounds so altered my preferences for the June offer round, however didn’t get an offer again when they came out Thursday. The website says I’ve satisfied all criteria to receive an offer, and I’ve paid to lodge it. I’ve been out of school for 4 years, so I’m assuming either they give priority to school leavers or there were more people applying than they had spots for so the applicants with a higher OP/Entry Rank get first offers. I’m going to call them tomorrow to talk to them about why I didn’t get an offer, just wondering if someone here might be able to enlighten me first. Struggling to find work

I’m a 24 year old post-graduate student with a degree in business. I finished in 2015 and I’m still looking for full-time work. I’ve tried applying for all the cafes and restaurants I can, but got rejected for every one despite already having over four years of experience in cafes. I lost my job in April (casual, one shift a week) and now I’m struggling financially. I live at home because I can’t afford to live on my own. I can’t afford a car and I can’t even renew my license. I’ve had my resume checked by multiple people that work in human resources and still can’t get anything. I’m desperate for an income. submitted by /u/AquilaTempestas [link] [comments]

[Question] What are some great group recreational activities that are cheap in Brisbane?

Me and my group of friends are all looking to do something during the 1 week gap that Griffith/UQ/QUT have overlapping between trimesters, but everything we’ve looked up costs like a bomb; starting from about $300 to $2,000 just for about 2-3 hours of activities… for a group of 10. Are there any good cheap group physical activities around Brisbane that can hold a group of 10 people under $500 that would last us a whole day? NB: Creative ideas like “hire a hall and buy a hundred rubber balls” is a valid response, if you can suggest a hall to hire. submitted by /u/aytimothy [link] [comments]
