Gardeners of r/Brisbane, what are you growing right now?
I’ve got some raised beds that have been doing quite well, but I’m not sure what to grow between now and the warmer months. We’re quite spoiled with our mild winter weather here, so I’m not concerned about frost, but it’s my first year growing more than herbs. I grew some pumpkins out of season, which went quite well, but I was battling fungus towards the end due to all the rain. I want to put sweetcorn in but not sure if I should wait for the days to get a bit longer? (I’ve got lettuce, beetroot, and carrots that are at a good size, and some soybean seedlings just coming up. Why do mowing contractors blower/vac grass clippings onto the road?
This has been bugging me for a while… Why do mowing contractors (like Jim’s Mowing) etc get out their blower/vacs and blow grass clippings onto the road? Are they too lazy? Will the extra weight of maybe 500g of grass clippings mean they have to pay extra tip fees? Looking for Specific Gloria Jean's Travel Mug
I am desperately looking to buy a green and blue porcelain travel mug from Gloria Jean’s (see picture here). It was a gift to my mother and I have broken it. They were in circulation 2011-12ish, I have already tried the Gloria Jean Shop and Head Office but they have been unable to help me so far. I am hoping that someone on this sub owns one and is happy to part with it. MyPort Internet – anyone know anything about this internet provider?
So I received an email from my apartment building about MyPort ISP coming into our building. They look like a high speed internet provider competing with NBN. MyPort Website Has anyone used or had experience with them? They look like a centralised WiFi for the entire building, so obviously things like privacy, monitoring, speed, etc. are of a concern. Question for the martial artists out there
Anyone tried krav maga in the cbd? If so, which school are you with and who do you prefer? I’ve done martial arts all my life but have basically been on a beer and chicken wing diet since Oct last year.. I don’t mind contact, but can’t rock up to work with black eyes anymore since I am now in a front facing role.
