Planning to move into share accomodation for the first time.. looking for general advice.
Hey, so as mentioned in the title, I plan on moving into share accomodation in September. I’m currently sharing but with a friend I’ve known for years. They are traveling so we need to go seperate ways. My friends are all set up so my only option will be to find share accomodation. I’m wondering where the best place to look is? I mean websites, I know the area I’m looking in (city-nundah). Any red flags I should look out for when inspecting places and meeting people? Costs associated with moving into share accomodation? I have money saved for bond but not much else. I have my own bedroom furniture and also a fridge and washing machine. Any tips on being a good housemate in general and dealing with strangers? Where I live is good because we know each other so well, we can be honest. I’m worried it won’t
Anyone work in the gas industry? Want to pick brain.
I’m looking into building a gas forge. Probably going to buy this kit for the burner: https://www.artisansupplies.com.au/product/gas-forge-burner-bkit-1/ So I won’t be doing anything gas-wise, just attaching the burner to the forge. Inverter for solar panels – advice on implied warranty or where to ask for information – please help!
This has to have been asked before so I just need pointing in the right direction please for the information. The inverter for my solar panels has died – 2nd one in 5 years. The original one had a 4 year warranty and died after 2 years, the second one has lasted 3 years. Origin advises it is out of the original 4 year warranty period so there is no warranty anymore and replacement cost is apparently $2200 if I want a 10 year warranty on the next one. Small earthmoving job required in south suburbs
Hi, I checked the wiki and it doesn’t seem to be against the rules to post this but please delete if it is. I need some basic earthmoving work done, rip out a few small trees and flatten an area for a slab, and having a really hard time getting any response from tradespeople. Gumtree seems to be a graveyard of old ads with numbers that don’t have voicemails, and all the big players want so much money for a small job.
