Girl-friendly soccer club in the inner-northside?

Hi Brisbanites, My 7 year-old daughter is taking a shine to soccer but I’m wary that her complaints that she’s the only girl in her soccer skills class will devolve into her giving up on something she enjoys and that gets her away from screens. (I’m wary of all the boys too, because it seems boys are jerks – she’s easily one of the better-skilled kids there, but whenever it’s time to select teams she’s always picked last. :/ ) I’ve found a number of soccer clubs that claim ‘girls can play too!’ on their websites but I don’t see many pictures with a healthy mix of both genders. Siblings raising siblings

Hey guys, I hope it’s okay that I post this here. Please let me know if there is anywhere better to post it. I’m using a throwaway because I don’t want people I know to find out about this yet. Due to family conflict it looks as though I may have to take in my younger brother (15). Problem is I’m a student with a small income. I will need financial help, his mother and father won’t help. Does anyone know if there’s a payment that can help out with this? Or who I can talk to about this? I get youth allowance plus $200 a week from working. I will be making him get a job at maccas or something nearby. I am renting a unit with my partner. He has psychological issues so I would need a therapist. Drive Brisbane to Darwin

Anyone ever done this drive before? Where is the best places to stop? I want to get it done in three days without any night driving, would that be possible. Also I’ll be in a Hyundai i30 will it make it? I’ve heard all the roads are sealed but I’m not sure. I’m sure they’ll be dead spots for 3G/4G so I’ll need a GPS will there be dead spots for that too? Working in the Aged Care Sector

I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone with experience working with the elderly. I start my first shift in a dementia ward end of the week. I have had some experience with relatives that had suffered from dementia, and some limited training as well as study. However, I feel somewhat nervous being placed where we specifically work with late stage dementia clients. Any advice on how to build some sense of trust? Quarterly electricity bill – averages for you guys?

Hey! I just moved to Brissy less than half a year ago with my partner. We were shocked by our electricity bill from Red Energy (no pun intended!) – that being said, we’re both Canadians so we’re used to our bills being like $50 a month. This is the first electricity bill we’ve ever received so help me out here.. To put it in perspective: our hot water heater runs off of a solar panel, we never use the air conditioner, we don’t have heat, we never have the TV on, and at most we run two laptops at the same time and charge our phones. We don’t use our stove and oven as often as we should, and we run our energy efficient dishwasher maybe 2x a week, same goes for our energy efficient washing machine. We hang dry our clothes.
