Housesharing with people who's lifestyle you come to resent
This is my second cathartic post on this sub. One of my housemates, as far as housemates goes is okish. I’m most definitely just being a despondent prick, but as the months have ticked on I’ve come to resent his lifestyle immensley. We’re in fairfield which is nice enough. He orders all these protein powders and supplements, but rarely goes to the gym, but never ceases to talk about his apparent peak performing physique. He listens to e-sports commentaries near-constantly (that shit isn’t sport). There’s occasional outbursts from him talking into his mic while he’s gaming abusing people while playing LoL/destiny/overwatch. He defrosts meat, forgets to cook it, then has to throw it out. He can never keep on top of his laundry, he’s forever washing piles of dirty laundry. He doesn’t do dishes, ever, he expects people to point out the things that need to be done “otherwise he
Where to donate wheelchairs in Brisbane
An older family friend passed away recently and we are assisting with the tidy-up of his apartment. Over the last few years the family purchased a couple of different types of wheelchairs etc. Is there a charity that will accept them and re-distribute them to someone who needs them? PS – I have already tried doing a Google search, so far I am going around in circles between charities that want money so they can buy wheelchairs to provide to the needy submitted by /u/AussieDave63 [link] [comments]

Thank you Brisbane redditers.
Earlier this year I was staying with a family in Ascot until their father died. Overnight, I had to find places to stay for the next three weeks but I had no money. I jumped on the Brisbane subreddit as well as a facebook page and posted my problem and quickly found three places to stay for the next three weeks. Each host was amazingly warm and welcoming. I’ve tried this in different cities since to mixed results. Houston was terrible. Switzerland was the worst. Brazil was… interesting. Seattle was great. San Diego was oddly endearing. But none of them were nearly as good as Brisbane. Anyways, thanks for helping out a nomad in need. You’re the best. I couldn’t think any more highly of your city. submitted by /u/jp_books [link] [comments]

Hi! I'm a year 10 student from Victoria who needs your help!
I am a Year 10 student at Sunbury Downs College in Victoria. For my psychology coursework, I am required to carry out an experiment/survey to collect data regarding an attitude held by people. I chose to investigate the same-sex marriage debate in Australia. The information will only be seen my myself and my teacher, and will not be published anywhere. The only personal information collected will be the age, gender, if they are Australian or not, and if they are an Aboriginal Australian or Torres Strait Islander. This is the link to the survey: https://goo.gl/forms/vH1syOiez7l0n6lj2 Thank you! /u/Oblivion__ submitted by /u/Oblivion__ [link] [comments]
Boss refuses to pay me the hours that I worked. Is this legal?
Hi all, bit of background. I’m currently employed casually at company X (working full time hours). At the end of last week we were snowed in by emails. On Thursday we still hadn’t replied to emails that had been sent in on the previous Sunday. Way behind. As it turned out, I had to take my girlfriend to the airport at around 4am on Friday morning, and given that I work close to the airport I decided to head into the office straight after. I asked my manager the day before and he said that I was free to come in early. I arrived about 4:30am, worked from 4:30am until 2pm, at which point I was sent home. Today, one of the payroll girls comes and asks me if I can send her the hours that I worked, as I couldn’t clock in at 4:30am and she needed hours for
