I just arrived from Canada, and I brought with me a couple of 750ml bottles of Crown Royal: Northern Harvest. This is the whiskey that Jim Murray voted as ‘best in the world’ for 2016, which caused a bit of a furor (http://whiskybible.com/whiskybibleawards2016/). Honestly, I wouldn’t give it that designation, but it is pretty good, and it is much better than the standard fare that Crown Royal usually produces. I’m interested in trading in one or both of these bottles for either Australian, Japanese or Indian whiskeys that I can enjoy during my stay here. As Canadian whiskey’s are harder to come by here, Japanese whiskeys are quite rare back home, and I’ve never seen Australian or Indian whiskey’s on the shelf.
