“DPC is looking for a temporary Principal Web Developer (AO7) role until 30 June 2018 (with extensions likely). It’s often a challenging role, responsible for responding to the emerging priorities of the department and developing responsive, innovative and working websites to support them – often within tight timeframes. To be successful, you need the skills to build beautiful sites that are functional, and to manage client expectations throughout the process. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who: • has strong skills with HTML, Javascript/JQuery and CSS within contemporary approaches and frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap) • has related skills that help extend functionality, such as JSON or XML • can design and create aesthetically pleasing sites that provide high-quality user experiences • has a proven track record in delivering significant work on time • can negotiate with clients to deliver agreed outcomes.
