I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone with experience working with the elderly. I start my first shift in a dementia ward end of the week. I have had some experience with relatives that had suffered from dementia, and some limited training as well as study. However, I feel somewhat nervous being placed where we specifically work with late stage dementia clients. Any advice on how to build some sense of trust?
