Not much has happened since my last update, as the roommate has moved out with 80% of her possessions and gone largely incommunicado with both Property Management and I. I’ve consulted legal counsel and so far documenting everything appears to be the correct course of action. We’re currently paid up to July 7th, but I assume she won’t be paying rent beyond that, as she’s demonstrated a history of yknow…not paying rent. My strategy to mitigate my losses is to sublet out my room while I move somewhere else for a couple weeks, I’m leaving the country (temporarily) in mid-July anyway, so this’ll most likely work out. However…I’m also considering subletting her bedroom out, as she’s moved 80% of her stuff out of the apartment. Property Management has given me approval to go ahead with this.
