Hey so haven’t really posted here before, but was curious. Last night I was in the valley, got ticketed for littering (butted out a cig). This was at a very popular club with a very long line, and another mate got nicked for it as well later that night (after I had left). So just as a disclaimer, I’m perfectly ok with being fined. What I did was wrong, and I’ll accept a reasonable punishment. But $250 for a cigarette butt, in a 30-60 minute line with no bins isn’t really fair in my eyes. I’m mainly curious to see whether or not others in this sub have been fined for this, as it seems $250 is the minimum amount (2 Penalty Units), and whether or not it is worth writing a letter to local MP (not an appeal, mainly for some additional info on the issue and why they
