Brisbane Archdiocese breaks ranks over Catholic school fee claims

One of Australia’s largest Catholic archdioceses has broken ranks to declare that changes to Commonwealth school funding arrangements will not force it to raise school fees. In a letter, the Archdiocese of Brisbane has assured parents that next year’s Catholic school fees would be similar to this year. This is at odds with Catholic authorities in other states, which claim they’ll have to dramatically increase fees under the new model.
