Probably not the right sub but not sure if there’s a dedicated Australian business / tax sub.. Anyway I have just finished up at my job as I am moving overseas in 2 weeks. The employer said there is no way to provide me my payment summary prior to the end of the year. Is this true? I feel like they’re super easy to generate and my payment from them for the financial year has been finalised. I need to have my tax sorted before I depart and another previous employer was really prompt with providing a payment summary when I requested. Do I have any grounds to pursue requesting the payment summary? Is there any legal requirement on the business to provide it when I request it?
