Hey Brisbane, decided to attend the Currumbin (not Brisbane I know) Dawn service yesterday….24 hours have passed and my rage has somewhat subsided; I’ve never seen such a rock show in my life. Things I found frustrating; *Veterans being paraded on stage like a fashion show. *The MC mumbling through his speeches. *The order of service was askew. *The veiled political statements from the MC and priest (was that the priest? I wouldn’t know as he wasn’t introduced). *The inappropriate songs accompanying the videos. *Those videos, holy shit…distracted from the service, had been aired on repeat prior to the service and contained spelling mistakes. *The MC’s referral to the memorial stone as the tomb of the unknown soldier. *The production manager constanly running on and off stage. *1hour 45 minutes…holy fuck!
