So I’ll get to the point – I really like spicy food. The problem is that I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve ordered ‘extra, extra hot’ food only to be served something which is an abomination consisting of sweet chilli sauce or a disgusting sugar syrup. Alternatively, the food has been bland or very, very slightly spicy at best. I used to have a few places nearby which I liked to visit, but they all went out of business – possibly because people where I live dislike food that is spicier than ice-cream? Who knows?
