As per title. I have NBN 100/40 and yes I know speedtest is pretty much rigged and is sometimes not a reliable indicator of performance, but I’m pulling 90+mbps and the rest of the web is fine, so I don’t think this is a “normal” contention issue. I’ve never had contention issues before, but the past week or so Youtube has been almost completely unusable. All videos set themselves to auto 144p or 240p, maybe 480p if I’m lucky. “Stats for nerds” graph on Youtube says I’m not even reaching 1mbps download speed, usually it’s about 700kbps. If I connect to my work VPN (50/50 telstra fibre) or my friend’s VPN (100/40 exetel NBN), then my speed immediately goes through the roof and I can pull 25+mbps and watch HD no problems. Changing DNS to Google or OpenDNS does not solve the problem, only connecting to a VPN does. Does
