I was stuck on the disgusting Northside the other day, and while travelling through the back streets around Chermside couldn’t help but notice a heap of crappy little shops all open for business, but not a customer in sight and nowhere for people to park anywhere nearby. How on earth do these places stay open? The rent would have to be a killer and while 10am on a Tuesday might not be the peak time for those guys, to see every single one completely empty doesn’t inspire confidence in a bustling trade.
