Hotter than average January in southern Queensland, Birdsville record set to tumble

Exceptionally warm weather has gripped southern Queensland in January, with Brisbane recording its warmest ever January night minimum, 28 degrees Celsius, while a low-pressure surface trough will shatter temperature records in February, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
