My bf and I have just been accepted for a rental that was advertised with a parking space. When I inspected the house the agent told me that we have a parking space on the street, which I was fine with (despite it not being my car that is to be parked there). Now we’re wondering if this is a general street parking spot or actually belonging to us because it was advertised as having a park? How can they (the council? The landlord?) regulate who does and doesn’t park in “our” spot? This suburb also isn’t part of the ones that require parking permits. I’ll obviously be ringing the agent in the morning for clarification but we desperately want to know what our rights are basically? I’ve already sent the required two weeks rent, but not the bond or signed anything, so if there is an issue with the
