Faulty GoVia tag

Hello all! The last few times I’ve gone through toll points, my GoVia tag hasn’t been beeping. The money still gets taken out of my account without hassle. The website harps on about how this means that my tag is faulty. It says to mail in the current tag (failure to do so results in a $50 penalty) but says nothing about receiving a new one. I’m seriously considering just leaving it because it still works but I forsee 2 very first world problems: 1 – It means I have to check my GoVia account every time I go through tolls to make sure the money is taken and 2 – I’m making a fair few trips through toll points over the next few months and I don’t want to have to pay manually each time, which I’m assuming would be the case if I send in my old tag
