Chris Rogers stood up from our dinner table to better animate his point. He was describing to me what he called “the best bit of batting I ever saw”, one over faced by David Warner in 2014 during Australia’s tour of South Africa. Morne Morkel was bowling and Rogers was at the non-striker’s end, having been dismissed by Morkel in the first innings by a short ball that caught his glove.
