So basically my partner and I went to the gym and told them our contract was done (took the paperwork that proves it) and told them we wanted to terminate both our accounts. We were given a slip of paper with name, address and email and told 30 days worth of debits and then it should be all good (fair enough) Then today I get a notice from the direct debit saying I owed another $25.90, even though I’m certain it’s been more than 30 days since we asked them to cancel it. I’ve paid it to get debt collector off me but I’m seriously not happy that they’ve basically ignored my request, I did phone them to have a word and got the ‘so long as you pay it your account will be immediately terminated’ speech, and I’ve heard that before. My partner wants to pay them a visit
